Yoda is a Fresno California rescue that I adopted 3 years ago. I received a
call from my neice who runs Emmie's Animal Rescue in Fresno. She told me about
this adorable Persian cat she had rescued and thought I should adopt her. I
already had 2 cats and wasn't interested in driving 3 hours to adopt a cat. She
told me that she hadn't found anyone to adopt. Without seeing a picture, I
drove 3 hours in thick fog to adopt this "cute cat". On my drive down, I was
thinking of names and had decided on the name "Chandler" from the Friends wrap
up episode. When I arrived I was shocked to find "Chandler" wasn't cute and
didn't look anything like a "Chandler". The cat was so loving and I immediately
fell in love and got home and happily named him "Yoda". He apparently survived
in the wild, was declawed and is now attached to me at the hip. Loves to be
held, follows me around everywhere and is the best cat ever!
